Exchange Student
Requirements
Students who want to apply for the exchange program need:
1. Nomination

You need to be first nominated by the home university before applying for the NTUB exchange student program.

If your university does not have a signed exchange agreement with NTUB. We are not able to accept your application.

OIA is only responsible for the application of the exchange program. If you are applying for a degree student, please contact the Office of Academic Affairs at ntubadmis@ntub.edu.tw
2. Language Proficiency
You should meet either English or Chinese language proficiency at

English language proficiency of at least CEFR B2 or
-
Chinese as a Foreign Language TOCFL Band B Level, or Chinese Proficiency HSK Level 5
Course Information
- According to NTUB regulations, exchange students must take at least one course per semester. Furthermore, students should also follow the requirements of their home university.
- Students whose native language is Chinese may enroll in Chinese-taught classes with the instructors' approval.
- The course information for the Fall semester is available in August; the Spring semester is available in January.
- Before course information is announced, you may refer to our file to search for courses offered in the past years.
Accommodation
- NTUB offers off-campus dormitories for overseas students. Travel time between the dormitories and NTUB is approximately 40-60 minutes by MRT.
- Accommodation is guaranteed for fall intake but not for spring intake.
- Costs for sharing rooms in dormitories range between NTD3,800-NTD6,000(approx, USD120-USD190)per month.
- Rental contracts are for the entire duration of the official exchange semester (6 months), NON-REFUNDABLE for early checkout.
- For self-arranged accommodation, a reasonable monthly rental price in Taipei ranges from NTD12,000 to NTD25,000 (as reference)

- Scholarships are generally for degree students
